A downloadable C64 game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Help Grunio, a guinea pig, eat all the carrots in this retro mini-game for Commodore 64 micro-computer!

Gruniozerca C64 is a Commodore 64 version of an NES/Famicom mini game released in 2016. Both games were created to support the Polish 24h charity live games stream called Gramytatywnie.

Use joystick connected to port 2 to move Grunio left and right on the screen and catch all carrots before they touch the ground. Make sure Grunio's color match carrots' color when you pick them. You can change Grunio's color by pressing the fire button on your joystick.

How to run?

This game was designed and created to run on real hardware - Commodore 64 or Commodore 128 in C64 mode - and is compatible with both PAL and NTSC versions. Keep in mind that the game was primarily created for PAL machines.

Once you download the diskette image, you could transfer it to a 5 & 1/4 inch floppy disk using any of the available solutions (like X1541 cable). Alternatively, you can copy the image to a hardware disk drive emulator, like SD2IEC or Pi1541.

You can also run the game on any C64 emulator available for Windows, Mac, and Linux that supports loading diskette images (like VICE).

To load the game on Commodore 64, type LOAD "*",8 and press return. After a couple of seconds, when the system responds with READY., type RUN and press return to start.

To load the game on Commodore 128, start C64 mode by typing GO64 followed by pressing return. Next, follow instructions for Commodore 64.

Dear 6bits, may I please re-share your game on my github project page?  What license may I use, please? More details about the project in my profile --> https://retrobrews.itch.io/ Thank you in advance! Retro Fan

Hi retrobrews, you could share it freely as long as it is in an unmodified binary form as available here on itch.io.

It would be great if you could also mention somewhere a link back to its page in itch.io

Cheers!

Hi 6bits, thank you very much for your approval! Authors name, backlinks and all the info will be added to game description text file. :)
